The tablet we reproduce is a letter from the King of Hamazi to the King of Ebla, its translation:
"Thus writes ibubu superintendent of the king's palace to the messenger: you are my brother and I am your brother. Any wish that comes out of your mouth will be granted and it is my wish that you send me good soldiers. My prayers to you who are my brother and I am your brother. 10 pieces of wooden furniture, 2 ornaments, have been given to the ibubu messenger. Irkab Damu king of Ebla, he is the brother of Zizi, king of Hamazi and therefore he is the brother of Irkab damu, king of Ebla. Thus the scribe has written tirazil to the messenger of Zizi ".
